This was definitely a first for me in terms of a really long day for a wedding gig. I was booked to DJ a wedding in Cottonwood, AZ for Moises and Marie. If you are not familiar with Arizona, Cottonwood is about 2 hours north of Phoenix. Needless to say, this was going to be a very long day for me.

I planned out my day so that I would drive out early, get some breakfast, and go set up. This would leave me with about 2 hours before the reception began. I think this is the first time my planned timeline worked out as I expected as I finished setting up early and was able to rest up before everything got going.

The reception was held in the courtyard of the school at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. By the time I arrived around 10 AM, the place was already setup and they were just putting the final touches. They had me in the corner next to the main table. The place was setup for just under 350 people, and they all definitely came to party!

For dancing, I played a wide variety of genres to include Cumbias, Salsa, Merengue, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, and House music. The crows started dancing from the beginning and never stopped until we had to leave. Overall it was a really fun night.
